The Suntory Institute for Bioorganic Research is located in the northeastern corner of Osaka Prefecture at Shimamoto-cho, Mishima-Gun. After cruising past the ten-no Hills on a Highway ride from Kyoto City, one would come across a two-block research laboratory with grayish brown walls along the Meishin-Highway. This is the Research Center of the Suntory Ltd.. This research institute occupies fourth floor of four-storey building at main entrance.
The floor (total area=768m2) is divided as follows: the office, management division, stuff room and five laboratories for instrumental analysis, bioinformatic-computation, morecular biology, organic chemistry and Genetic Engineering(phase II ).
